Vice-President C.P. Radhakrishnan has emphasised the need to speed up research, innovation, and technology-driven health care for achieving the dream of Viksit Bharat @2047. He was addressing the inaugural function of an exhibition on indigenous medical devices at SCTIMST, Thiruvananthapuram where he also lauded the institute’s efforts in combining medical science with sophisticated biomedical technology. Vice President also mentioned about remarkable innovations like low-cost Chitra heart valve, blood bags and fast TB diagnostic kits which have been relied upon in achieving self- reliance in healthcare. He also emphasized the importance of inclusive innovations to serve marginalized communities.
